IITS Re-Launched: Industrial Trade Show Gets Face Lift

November 17th, 2008

Now that the International Industrial Trade Show (IITS) is closing in on the completion of its first year, I’m pleased to report ArriveNEWS has re-launched the show. IITS participants will notice the trade show now has a new feature that enables additional networking opportunities for exhibitors and visitors of the event. The feature includes the addition of new RFQ’s for machine shops and other custom manufacturers. I’ll explain more about that in a moment along with details on new exhibitors. IITS also has a new look that includes a more user-friendly format to better help industrial buyers and suppliers connect with one another on the Web… utilizing the Industrial Leaders Group. All these improvements have long been requested by IITS exhibitors and frankly, it’s about time the show is beginning to secure its position as the leading online industrial expo for the global manufacturing community. Latest Exhibitors of the International Industrial Trade Show

Last month may very well have been the best month for IITS. Over 125 manufacturers, exporters and other suppliers have signed up to be an exhibitor of the trade show. Including several manufacturers of welding equipment, machine tools dealers, distributors of general industrial goods as well as a number of job shops and other custom manufacturers. Indeed, despite a few set-backs, IITS is well on its way of being known by millions of manufacturing professionals all over the world. Yes, there’s still a lot to be done in order to turn IITS into a more interactive virtual event. Nonetheless, it’s hard to argue with the results the trade show is already experiencing. Click here to search for all IITS exhibitors.

Sure, IITS may not be your ordinary online expo with all the bells and whistles of other virtual events. But apparently that’s not a problem with a lot of companies that understand the main objective of an online trade show is to develop business opportunities. In contrast, other virtual expositions appear to be more concerned with using fancy images such as virtual halls and booths rather than focus on what matters most - creating business partnerships between buyers and suppliers. Here at ArriveNEWS we understand the real benefits of an online trade show is no different than traditional physical exhibitions where people come to network, share ideas and develop business relationships with companies and professionals associated with their marketplace. That’s why there’s nothing fancy looking about IITS. All we care about is building business opportunities between exhibitors, visitors and others involved in the show. Live RFQs On IITS

Last week we received quite a few emails from companies, mainly machine shops asking about the Open RFQs & Demands accessible through the trade show. Apparently, the trade leads are of high interest among those in the manufacturing community and I can certainly understand why that is so. There has been a sudden significant increase in the costs of on-line advertising, especially in the pay-per-click (PPC) industry and search engine marketing (SEM). Thus, job shops, custom manufacturers and industrial equipment suppliers unable to afford such expensive marketing methods are turning to sites such as MFG and IndustrialSAVER to locate actual business opportunities. PPC and SEM both have their place in the on-line marketing world and probably will for a long time. However, when it comes to finding business opportunities faster and with less hassle and risk, Live RFQs (request-for-quotes) provide much more bang for the buck. Remember, when you have access to trade leads in the form of RFQs, you are dealing with companies ready to buy the products/services you are selling. Thus, you won’t be wasting your time chasing poor prospects or investing in marketing that does not work. Check out the RFQs at the link above and see how many of them can be your next customer. Until recently, few websites provided enough quality RFQs to make a difference. That has all changed when MFG, Industrial Saver, ForeignTRADEX and others came along.

Trade Show Directory & New Articles

Last month we added several new trade show directories and portals to our Google-powered and ArriveNEWS managed Trade Show Search Engine. Among them includes a directory specializing in trade shows for engineers as well as one that focuses on expositions, fairs, conferences and exhibits for the building industry. Although the majority of trade shows found in the search engine are industrial-focused. You’ll find events literally for every industry in over 54 countries. The Web has no shortage of ‘trade show directory’ sites. Some are nothing more than a page of links pointing to different events being held around the world. Others are quite informative and useful for those that use trade shows to promote their business. ArriveNEWS has reviewed and selected the best ones to be searchable in its Expo Directory. You’ll save a lot of time by searching dozens of trade show directories all at once.

We also updated all our trade show articles to provide more details for trade show marketers. Each article now enables comments from readers so everyone can share additional tips and ideas on marketing their company at trade shows. Industrial Trade Show of The Week

This week after several discussions we have agreed to select the 73rd ARFTG Conference as trade show of the week. The event focuses on Design and Measurements of High Power Devices and Systems and is a leading international trade show in the field. Held on June 12th, 2009 in Boston, Massachusetts, the 73rd ARFTG Conference is a must see event for companies and professionals involved in microwave measurement equipment, services and technologies. According to our sources, ARFTG is held in conjunction with 2009 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium. For more about ARFTG and the conference, see their official site above for details about the organization, conference and other upcoming events.

Well, that’s it for this week. I hope you enjoyed the latest news about the International Industrial Trade Show and expo resources we recommended. Until next time, keep those ideas and suggestions coming about other industrial and engineering trade shows.
